The AMPCOM SC SFP-1.25G Optical Transceiver Type A is a hot-pluggable SFP module for Gigabit Ethernet over a single strand of single-mode fiber. It transmits at 1310nm and receives at 1550nm through an SC simplex connector, and must be paired with a Type B module (1550nm TX / 1310nm RX) at the far end. This BiDi design halves fiber consumption versus dual-fiber SFP links. Available in 3km / 10km / 20km / 40km reach options, it is purpose-built for building-to-building uplinks, FTTH/ONT aggregation, surveillance backhaul, and legacy SC simplex patch fields. Every unit supports DDM, is hot-swappable, and is coded for mainstream switch brands (Cisco, Huawei, H3C, ZTE, Ruijie, etc.).
